The natural scent of lanolin oil in our outdoor wool blankets is a sign of their authenticity and quality. Lanolin, derived from sheep's fleece, adds to the blanket's durability and disappears after airing out.
Wool is a naturally itchy fabric and sheds initially. This does decrease with time. However, high-quality wool blankets are less likely to cause itch or shed. Woolly Mammoth blankets are also blended with other fabrics to provide the warmth of wool without its hassles.
